The Russian Front 1944 - Ukraine

Ukraine was the scenario used to demonstrate Megablitz at Triples 2002, Salute 2002, and Partizan. The scenario dealt with a hypothetical Russian offensive against Axis defences in the Ukraine.

Background to the battle

The Russians deployed 571st Shock Army (including 5th Guards Tank Corps, 27th Guards Rifle Corps, and 48th Rifle Corps) against Axis forces which were very weak (the under-strength 6th Romanian Infantry Division that is in the process of being reinforced by a German Infanterie-Division).
